Privacy Policy

Your trust is our foundation. Let's talk about how we protect it.

At asenno, we believe privacy isn't just a legal requirement - it's a fundamental right. This policy explains how we handle your data with the respect and care it deserves.

The Essentials

We're asenno - system integrators who make technology work seamlessly. When you interact with us, we collect only what's necessary to deliver exceptional service. No more, no less.

What We Collect

When You Contact Us

  • Your name and contact details (email, phone)
  • The subject and content of your message
  • Any information you choose to share about your project needs

When You Visit Our Website

  • Basic analytics data (page views, general location by country)
  • Technical information necessary for the site to function properly
  • Your theme preference (light/dark mode) stored locally on your device

How We Use Your Information

Every piece of data serves a purpose:

  • To respond to your inquiries - Can't help you if we can't reach you
  • To provide our services - Delivering the solutions you need
  • To improve our offerings - Learning how to serve you better
  • To comply with legal obligations - Following the rules that protect us all

Your Rights, Your Control

Under GDPR and other privacy regulations, you have powerful rights:

Access

Request a copy of your data anytime

Rectification

Correct any inaccurate information

Erasure

Ask us to delete your data

Portability

Receive your data in a portable format

Object

Opt out of certain data processing

Withdraw Consent

Change your mind at any time

Exercising your rights is simple - just send us an email at info@asenno.com

Data Security

We protect your data like we protect our systems - with multiple layers of security, regular updates, and constant vigilance. Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest, accessible only to authorized personnel who need it to serve you.

Data Retention

We keep your data only as long as it serves a purpose:

  • Contact form submissions: 2 years (unless you become a client)
  • Analytics data: 26 months

Client Project Data

Here's where we do things differently. We maintain client project data as long as it might be useful to you. Why? Because technology systems have long lifecycles, and you never know when you'll need that configuration backup, system documentation, or warranty information. We've had clients return after many years, grateful we still had their data.

This includes:

  • System configurations and programming files
  • Technical documentation and drawings
  • Project specifications and correspondence
  • License keys and warranty information

We periodically review stored data to ensure it remains relevant and necessary. You always have the right to request deletion of your data - just let us know. Many clients appreciate that we often still have their project data when they need it years later.

Third Parties

We don't sell, rent, or trade your data. Ever. We may share information only when:

  • You explicitly consent to it
  • It's necessary to provide our services (like cloud infrastructure providers)
  • We're legally required to do so

Any third parties we work with are carefully vetted and bound by strict confidentiality agreements.

Analytics & Tracking

We believe in transparency without invasion. Our approach to analytics respects your privacy while helping us understand how to serve you better.

We use privacy-focused, server-side analytics that aggregate data without tracking individual users. This means no cookies for analytics, no device identifiers, and no personal profiles. We derive general location (country level) from request metadata and immediately delete or truncate IP addresses. Your browsing remains truly anonymous.

The only data stored locally on your device is your theme preference (light/dark mode) to enhance your viewing experience.

International Transfers

As a Finnish company, we primarily process data within the EU. If data needs to leave the EU (for example, using US-based cloud services), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses.

Changes to This Policy

We'll update this policy as needed to stay current with regulations and our practices. Major changes will be announced on our website. We recommend checking back occasionally.
